Ferrymead

On Wednesday the 10th of May kahikatea went on a big bus to Ferrymead to learn what life was like back in the 1850ś. And how it has changed over time.

In the 1850’s mary things were different for example, you had horses instead of cars and you had to do your own washing by hand. Schools were cold and spooky. The teachers were mean and they weren allowed to have husbands.they didn't have electricity they had lamps instead.you had to make butter your safes instead of getting it from the supermac.

Life is different in 2017 because we have Electricity, cars, technology help kid to learn mach easl then in 1850’s, Factories help to make the food for the supermarkets.

In conclusion the 1850’s where different because they didn't have technology.

Bang I hit the floor. My mum had pulled me out of bed and said ¨get dressed for work and get something to eat¨ so I got up and got dressed and went to the kitchen for something to eat. Then I cleaned up and me and my mum went for a drive to work. My mum works in a food van and I work as a cleaner. I don't get paid because I like being with my mum and keeping her company.

Imaginary danger

Imaginary danger

The shower was shiny and sparkly clean before Buster Busted through the door. Jamie sprinted through the door to get to Buster. Jamie slammed the door and turned the shower on. They were in the shower ready to clean buster but, the icky, slimy mud clogged the drain and the glass shower door was stuck and wouldn’t budge so Jamie tried to turn off the shower but the handle broke off and the shower was filling up with water. Buster was jumping like a bunny in a box because scared that he would die. Jamie was ramming the door to try to get out of the shower but the door is stuck like cement.Jamie realises there a crack in the glass. So Jamie swims like a fish with no water to the crack in the glass. Jamie starts to bash the glass to try to break it.The crack in the glass started to get bigger but Jamie started to lose breath so Buster busted  the glass and saved Jamie.
